Philips Increases ANPR Vehicle Fleet
Philips has increased its Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) vehicle fleet in order to maintain its customer service levels, due to business growth in the areas of the Road Traffic Act (RTA) and Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA).
Current clients include HMCS, London Borough of Camden and recent contract awards from the DVLA and Westminster as the sole contractor for RTA/TMA instructions.
The vehicles all feature the latest in PIPS technology cameras work simultaneously to provide images of number plates which are all time, date and GPS stamped with the exact location.
PIPS technology is the industry benchmark in the development and manufacture of ANPR systems, certified to ISO9001:2000 and conforming to the highest international standards of design and production.
Data can be transferred to and from vehicles via GPRS and the system also works retrospectively. The result is an efficient, in-touch and controlled system not just of the ANPR vehicles but of Philips’ workflow, as any new batches received from clients can be downloaded instantly.
The end product to client is that Philips service and performance levels will be maintained, irrespective of any ebbs and flow in workload.
